Mat involves a series of over 100 exercises using props and your own body weight for resistance. These exercises assist in improving overall strength, flexibility, and are an integral part of developing a long and lean Pilates body. The added benefit is that you can do these exercises at home!
These classes target particular muscles in your growing child. Basic Pilates principles will be taught to increase flexibility, coordination and strength. Posture is improved and limbs lengthened without the use of weights. Props are provided to modify exercises for beginner through advanced students. Therefore, we can accomodate the student who is interested in gaining self-confidence and/or increased strength and stability for a particular sport. Please inquire if you have a group of five students or more who are interested in starting a class.
